In my first year of college, I stumbled across the band Spoon. A staple of alt-rock for decades, they had just released a new album a week before I heard my first song. I was hooked immediately. This band bridges the alternative rock taste that I inherited from my parents with the indie and folk influences I’ve developed on my own. A semi-inverted fold system requires readers to rhythmically pull the book open in order to fully view the information. This fold system also creates a dynamic display where the book balances diagonally.
